Maryam expresses best wishes for Bakhtawar Bhutto's wedding

PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz Sharif will not attend Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari’s wedding though she extended her best wishes for Bakhtawar, daughter of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari, on her wedding at the weekend.

When media men during her visit to Khokhar Palace in Lahore on Wednesday asked whether she received an invitation to Bakhtawar’s wedding, Maryam Nawaz replied, “Shaddi… My best wishes are for Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari. May Allah Almighty grant her happiness in this new journey of life.”
A day earlier, PML-N leader Muhammad Zubair Umar, who is also a spokesperson of Maryam Nawaz, said that Maryam Nawaz cannot attend the wedding ceremony of Bakhtawar, scheduled for January 30 in Karachi, due to her some personal engagements.
Meanwhile, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday said that he was not invited to the wedding of Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, daughter of PPPP President Asif Ali Zardari.
Separately, Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed gratitude to those who sent congratulatory messages on the wedding ceremony of his sister Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari.
In a statement issued from Media Cell Bilawal House in Karachi on Wednesday, Bilawal said that fewer guests have been invited to the wedding reception of Bakhtawar in view of SOPs of pandemic coronavirus in Karachi.
The PPP Chairman expressed regret over the situation and said that he could not invite many dignitaries to the wedding due to SOPs of coronavirus. He further said that wedding receptions will be held in Islamabad, Lahore and Larkana also in which more dignitaries, friends and PPP family members will be invited to share the joys of the auspicious occasion.
Bakhtawar has done Masters Honors in English from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Sister of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari likes to travel, being wanderlust she states Dubai as favourite destination.
