ANF seizes 574kg drugs, arrests six accused during six operations

Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered more than 574 kilogram drugs and arrested six drug peddlers during operations against drug trafficking, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to ANF spokesperson, 1.6 kg of ice was recovered from two parcels sent to France and Saudi Arabia from the courier office in Lahore.

Spokesperson said as many 56 capsules filled with heroin were recovered from the stomach of a passenger going from Peshawar Airport to Jeddah.

In another operation, not less than 273.6 kg of hashish, 85 kg of heroin, 68.4 kg of opium and 1.5 kg of ice were recovered from a vehicle at 26-Chongi Islamabad and two suspects were arrested.

Moreover, 64 kg of hashish and 19.2 kg of opium were recovered from the vehicle near Ring Road Peshawar and the accused was arrested.

Further, 60 kg hashish recovered from a vehicle on Khanewal Road Multan and two accused were arrested.

An investigation has been started after registering cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act against the arrested accused.
