Lahore police have written a letter to the Punjab Police inspector general, seeking a ban on the popular online game Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG).

According to details, Lahore CCPO Zulfiqar Hameed has requested Inspector General of Punjab Police Shoaib Dastgir to write to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for an immediate ban on the popular online game.

“PUBG is an online multiplayer game that has gained immense popularity among young people. The game should be banned immediately as it is leading to aggressive behaviour and suicides among teenagers,” states the letter.

It must be noted that Lahore police have decided to ban the popular online game after incidents of suicide by teenagers while playing the game in Lahore.
