Plea seeking early SJC hearing of complaints against judges rejected

Pronouncing the reserved verdict, the Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday threw out the petition seeking orders for the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) to immediately start hearing of complaints against judges, declaring it as inadmissible for the hearing, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Justice Muneeb Akhtar read out the verdict.
A two-member SC bench, headed by Justice Ijazul Ahsan, had reserved the verdict on the maintainability of the application on June 13.
It may be mentioned here that a reference had been filed in the SJC against former chief jutice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar for misconduct.
Several complainants including Aafia Shehar Bano submitted the applications against Saqib Nisar.
