A complaint was filed in the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) against Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Qazi Faez Isa, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Thursday.
According to the channel report, Akmal Khan Bari, a resident of Lahore city, lodged a complaint against the chief justice with the Supreme Judicial Council.
In his complaint, the complainant requested that an inquiry be conducted against Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
He appealed for the suspension and removal of Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa from his position following the inquiry.
The complaint argued that a reference had been filed against Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa during the last regime of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), but it was dismissed.
The complainant further claimed that since the filing of that reference in the PTI regime, Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa has demonstrated 'bias' against PTI and has ruled against the party in all cases.
Complainant Akmal Khan Bari also accused Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa of making decisions based on political grounds.
