Faisal Vawda seeks unconditional apology from Supreme Court

Senator Faisal Vawda has tendered an unconditional apology to the Supreme Court and requested the dismissal of contempt of court proceedings against him.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Vawda stated in his written apology that the Supreme Court provided an opportunity to submit a revised response during the June 5 hearing.
Vawda said following a press conference concerning the judiciary, he consulted with religious scholars who told him that according to the Quran and Hadith, there is no harm in seeking forgiveness.
He said Islamic teachings advocate for speaking the truth, adding that the purpose of his press conference was to promote further improvements within the judiciary.
Senator Vawda also reaffirmed his respect for the Supreme Court and the judiciary as a whole.
