JI Emir Hafiz Naeem rejects Operation Azm-e-Istehkam

Rejecting the government’s decision of Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, Emir Jamat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that Pakistan cannot afford any more military operations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

In a press statement, he said military operations are not a permanent solution to problems.

Hafiz Naeem said the country was thrust into America's so-called war on terror, in which one hundred thousand Pakistani civilians and security personnel were martyred.

He said that the Western border is unsafe and billions of dollars have been lost.

Hafiz Naeemur Rahman further said that Pakistan has become an arena for foreign agencies.

Hafiz Naeemur Rahman said meaningful negotiations should be held with Afghanistan and the Iran gas pipeline should be completed.
