Senior lawyer among three shot dead in Kasur

Three people, including a woman and a senior lawyer, were killed on the spot while another was seriously wounded as two unknown assailants opened fire at them at Haveli Mehtab Khan, a suburban village of Kasur, on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Those who lost their lives were identified as Azhar Yasin Sani Advocate, Sobia Bibi, and Mushtaq while the injured as Kashif.
DPO Kasur Imran Kishwar soon reached the site of the incident along with a heavy contingent of police and started an investigation. However, reasons for the firing could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.
Talking to the media, DPO Kishwar said as per initial investigation Advocate Sani was sitting in his guestroom along with his clients and some relatives when two unknown men came and opened fire at them.
He said that the entire area had been cordoned off while teams had been constituted to carry out raids to arrest the culprits.
The DPO said the incident was being investigated from all angles.
Meanwhile, Mirza Naseemul Hasan, District Bar Kasur president, has given call for a strike over the killing of senior lawyer Azhaar Yasin Sani Advocate in an incident of firing.
He has said that the Bar will remain on strike until the murderers were arrested.
