Wapda’s Sher Khan wins national athlete championship

Wapda’s Sher Khan won the national athlete championship by defeating thirteen other athletes, reporter 24NewsHD TV channel.
The 50th National Athletics Championship started in Lahore on Nov 25. The three-day event featured elite local athletes, including Javelin Thrower Arshad Nadeem and sprinter Shajar Abbas.
The championship was arranged jointly by the Athlete Federal of Pakistan and DHA in which 14 athletes took part.
Sher Khan completed the 1.42 km distance in two hours and 30 minutes and 52 seconds.
Pakistan Air Force Abdul Rasheed won the second position.
Sher Khan termed the arrangements for a race as exemplary. He went emotional while remembering her mother after winning the race.
The champion said he was just running and unaware when he finished the completion line.
Schedule
The finals of the High Jump, Shot Put, Pole Vault and 100m race in the women’s category, took place on an opening day including the final of Discus Throw, Triple Jump, Pole Vault, and 100m race in the men’s category.
Nov 26: In the men’s category, the finals of Hammer Throw, 400m hurdles and Long Jump took place on the second day including Triple Jump, Hammer Throw and 1500m finals in the women’s category.
Nov 27: The finals of men’s Marathon, 10,000m, Long Jump, and Javelin throw took place on the final day. Also, finals of women’s 200m and Long Jump were held.
