COAS Asim Munir commends China's consistent support amid evolving global dynamics

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir expressed gratitude to China's leadership for its steadfast support for Pakistan, regardless of shifts in international and regional dynamics.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the COAS made these remarks during a meeting with General Zhang Youxia, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the People's Republic of China, who led a high-ranking delegation to the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.
The two military leaders held a one-on-one meeting, followed by delegation-level talks. The discussions centred on shared interests, regional security dynamics, strategies for regional stability, and strengthening bilateral defence collaboration.

On the occasion, Vice Chairman Zhang Youxia expressed China's deep appreciation for Pakistan's steadfast commitment to their strategic partnership.
He commended the Pakistan Army's resolve and professionalism in its ongoing counter-terrorism efforts and reiterated China's determination to further strengthen this enduring relationship.
Earlier, upon his arrival at GHQ, General Zhang Youxia laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada, paying homage to Pakistan's martyrs.
He was accorded a warm reception, including a guard of honour presented by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army.
