PM audio leaks: Privacy protocol being improved, says Ahsan Iqbal

A committee comprising tech experts has been constituted to dig into the matter of audio leaks from the Prime Minister's House and the staff of the Prime Minister's House are being grilled.
Talking to 24NewsHD TV channel, Federal Planning and Development Minister has stressed the need for stepped-up measures to keep intact the privacy protocol of the Prime Minister’s House.
Prime Minister House should be fully secured so that privacy can’t be compromised, Ahsan Iqbal said, adding that the federal ministers should also follow the SOPs of Prime Minister House.
He said nowadays, the smartphone is a spy tool and the tablets given to the federal ministers for cabinet meetings are also being audited.
The privacy of cabinet proceedings should not be compromised under any circumstances, said Ahsan Iqbal.
The protocol of the Prime Minister's House will be revised and measures are being adopted to protect the national interest, the minister maintained.
