Facilitators of journalist’s killers arrested: police

The Sukkur Police claimed to have arrested a man for providing the killers of senior journalist Jan Muhammad Mehr with a safe haven.

Sukkur SSP Irfan Samo said the arrested is identified as Shabbir Mehr who provide the killers safe haven at Sangiwala area of the Kacha strip

Further investigation are underway, the police officer said, adding that the hunt for the killers of senior journalist is on.

In August, senior journalist Jan Muhammad Mehr was killed when unidentified persons opened fire at him.

Mehr had left office for his home. When he reached near Qasim Park, unidentified assailants opened fire at him, injuring him seriously.
