K-Electric files plea in NEPRA for Rs5 per unit cut in power tariff

There is a likelihood of the consumers of Karachi getting relief in their electricity bills as Karachi Electric (K-Electric) on Saturday filed a petition in the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for Rs5 per unit cut in the electricity prices under the monthly fuel price adjustment, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
If approved, the consumers of the port city will get a relief of over Rs7 billion.
The NEPRA will hear the K-Electric’s petition on January 15, 2025.
