Emphasizing that it was time to send ‘selected’ Prime Minister Imran Khan home, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Monday that free and fair elections were must after the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government was sent packing, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a public gathering in Hyderabad, he claimed that after having seen the sea of people in the party’s long march towards Islamabad, the ‘selected’ prime minister had started feeling nervous so much so that now he had even sent his ministers to Sindh for the counter-attack.

“It is the same prime minister who has deprived the people of Sindh of their rights,” he said, and added, “Truth of the matter is that the PTI government has done injustices to all four federating units.”

The PPP chairman assured the people that the party stood by them in these times of inflation and economic crisis. “We are struggling for the poor,” Bilawal said, adding that if came to power the PPP would increase the minimum wages of labourers.

He urged the people to come out in large numbers to participate in the PPP’s long march so that the government could be shown the door.

He regretted that instead of providing jobs to the people, the government had rendered them jobless instead. “Get ready to march on Islamabad,” Bilawal said, adding these were the people who would eventually have the last laugh in this final battle.
