Dr Yasmin Rashid seeks court permission for election campaign

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Yasmin Rashid has requested the Anti-Terrorism Court to give her relief for some days so that she could lead her election campaign, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
“I should be allowed three days to campaign in the constituency”, Dr Yasmin Rashid requested the judge during proceedings.
She said because now we don't even have an election symbol, we have to campaign for people to vote.
Whatever happens, will be according to the law, the Judge remarked.
Yasmin Rashid claimed that Nawaz Sharif was not gathering a thousand people while they could gather millions of people.
Dr Yasmin Rashid alleged that Nawaz Sharif was behind in removing her banners from her constituency.
Yasmin claimed if she is allowed to visit her constituency, she can inflict a humiliating defeat on Nawaz Sharif.
Meanwhile, PTI leaders Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Yasmin Rashid, Mahmoud Al Rashid, Ijaz Chaudhary and other accused appeared in the Anti-Terrorism Court in a case of setting a container on fire at Kalma Chowk.
The police have submitted the challan of the case against the accused in the court and the attendance of the accused in the case for the trial was completed.
The court said the challan copies would be distributed among the accused at the next hearing.
Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Arshad Javed Chadhar conducted the hearing.
The court adjourned further hearing till February 2.
Meanwhile, another court started the trial of Jinnah House attack and arson case against 266 accused.
About 130 accused including Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Yasmin Rashid, Mahmmood-ul-Rasheed, Ejaz Chaudhry and others were presented in the court.
Mian Mahmood-ul-Rashid and other detained accused have completed their attendance for the trial.
PTI leader Rubina Jameel, who is on a bail appeared and completed the attendance.
The court adjourned further hearing till February 2.
Judge Muhammad Naveed Iqbal of the Anti-Terrorism Court conducted the hearing.
However, the arguments of the lawyers on the bail application of 122 accused have been completed in the same case.
The court also called for arguments from the lawyers of the other accused.
The court adjourned further hearing till January 29.
The record of the case was not produced by the prosecution today.
Hearing on bail will be held daily after the case record is presented, the court said.
The court will give verdicts on the bail application of 20 accused each day.
