‘Estranged’ member of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and former member of the National Assembly (MNA) Ayesha Gulalai Wazir has written a letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial in which she has demanded him to take a suo moto notice of what she called PTI’s campaign against the country’s armed forces and to order filing of a ‘treason’ case against the party Chairman Imran Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
She has also demanded a ban on the PTI besides putting Imran’s name on the Exit Control List (ECL).
Gulalai has alleged that the PTI chairman, who is also a former prime minister, is trying to pit masses against the army. “In this situation, we cannot afford to remain silent,” she emphasized.
It is worth-reminding here that only few years back both Gulalai and Imran remained embroiled in a ‘controversy’ over alleged lewd text messages by the latter to former.
