Omar Ayub resigns as PTI General Secretary

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Omar Ayub has resigned from the post of PTI General Secretary, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub has written a letter to PTI founder Imran Khan in which he submitted his resignation to PTI founder Imran Khan from the post of Secretary General of PTI.
Moreover, Omer Ayub has also shared the image of his resignation letter on his official X account.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Ayub announced, "I am most grateful to PM Imran Khan sahib for accepting my resignation as Secretary General PTI to focus on my role as Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly of Pakistan."
"I had tendered my resignation on 22nd June 2024 through my resignation letter addressed to PM Imran Khan sahib and Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan sahib. (attached below)."
"Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, Senator Shibli Faraz sahib conveyed my message to PM Imran Khan sahib today during their meeting in Adyala Jail. There will be further changes made in the organisational structure of PTI in the coming days as directed by PM Imran Khan sahib. I want to thank all members of the PTI family, Parliamentarians, and Tanzeem Office Holders who have worked tirelessly and braved tremendous hardships for PM Imran Khan sahib and PTI," he wrote.
It is pertinent to mention that differences were reported in ranks of PTI and there were reports that MNA Sheharyar Afridi, MNA Shandana Gulzar, MNA Sher Afzal Marwat and 18 other likeminded parliamentarians were planning to resign from their National Assembly seats citing differences with the current leadership of the PTI.
Sheharyar Afridi and other like-minded MNAs claimed that the current leadership was not interested in the release of PTI founder Imran Khan and the leadership was more interested in seeking various posts from the incumbent government.
