An entire village was quarantined in Lower Dir on Saturday after the confirmation that a woman had died due to coronavirus.
The 60-year-old, who died at Peshawar’s Hayatabad Medical Complex, had recently returned from Saudi Arabia after performing Umrah.
According to the area assistant commissioner, there is a complete ban on movement as no one would be allowed to enter or leave the village.
This situation at Ziarat Talash village is a replication of what has been happening at Manga, Mardan, where all the locals are experiencing lockdown since the death of a man last week.
The Manga Union Council of Mardan has become the top locality in terms of concentration of the coronavirus patients, as the figures released by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health DG show that 79 people had so far been infected by the virus.
