Pervez Elahi, Asad Umar see ‘progress’ in talks, meetings

Planning Minister Asad Umar along with a federal ministers’ delegation Monday met with Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervez Elahi and both sides were optimistic about the talks that are being held at the time when no-confidence motion was also submitted against Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Referring to the PMLQ concerns about leaving or staying in the government, Asad Umar said that concerns have only been shown to the near-ones.
“People only express their concern where there is a hope,” he said.
Chaudhary Pervez Elahi said that matters are moving towards a positive side as both sides discussed multifaceted topics. “We got offers from both sides,” he added.
Moonis Elahi said that PMLQ has good ties with the government and soon Q-league will give a breakthrough on it.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the government is with the Chaudhary brothers.
Pervez Elahi said that all allies’ parties of the government will decide collectively on the No-Confidence move.
Q-league also intensified contacts with the MQM and Balochistan Awami Party leaders.
Earlier Pervez Elahi met with the PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad. PMLQ Tariq Bashir Cheema and Chaudhry Salik Hussain were also present on the occasion. Both sides discussed the no-confidence motion and the current political situation.
