Desperate staffer sets himself on fire against dismissal 

A dismissed PHA official attempted to commit suicide, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

Two years ago, Javed Masih was dismissed over absenteeism. 

He made a request for reinstatement and worked without pay for a year but to no avail.

Javed set himself on fire in front of the PHA DG office in Lahore, leaving him injured critically.

He was rushed to Services Hospital where his condition is stated to be out of danger.
