Irsa calls meeting to review alarming water shortfall

The Indus River System Authority has called an emergency meeting in the wake of acute water deficit believed to be touching a shortfall of 35%, reported 24NewsHD Tv Channel.
According to sources, Irsa later on Friday called an emergency meeting to review the scarcity of water that was about to hit an alarming 35% shortfall.
Irsa Chairman Rao Irshad will preside over the meeting.
Sources said the meeting was likely to cut down the water share of provinces. Punjab and Sindh cut would be around 23%, sources added.
Currently, Punjab is receiving 90,000 cusecs of water and Sindh’s share is 84,000 cusecs water.
