First case of theft of solar-powered electricity detected in Lahore

Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) unearthed the first case of power theft from solar power panel metering from Lahore’s NFC Society, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Allegedly, a user Shamul Haq, resident of bungalow number 602, was involved in stealing the electricity from a net metering solar panel installed in the society.
Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) Engineer Town Ahmed Faraz said that the consumer was involved in the power theft where more than 70 ampere load was operational.
He said that the consumer will be charged with a deduction bill and an FIR will be lodged. SDO conducted raid on the directions of his high-ups.
