Punjab Cabinet Committee Monday approved the establishment of Pasban centres across the province, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
The Pasban centres will be established in every district and all the police wings will work under the centre.
The centres will also act as a facilitation centre and the concerned officer of each wing will be present in these hearings.
The Pasban centre in each district will be headed by a Superintendent of Police (SP).
The Home Department suggested the establishment of these centres across the province.
The cabinet committee also approved 1841 new Pasban vacancies whose notification will be issued by the finance department. Several police posts will be eliminated as well.
