Ruling PTI Senator Faisal Vawda has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was ‘oblivious’ of the French ambassador’s ousting issue, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

The premier was unaware that an agreement had been reached to oust the French ambassador, the senator said a day after Interior Minister Sheikh said the accepting the banned TLP’s demand for expelling the French envoy and closing down the French embassy was out of the question.

The decision was made during a moot with the PM in the chair while Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, ISI chief Lt Gen Faiz Hameed, DG of Military Intelligence Maj Gen Azhar Waqas, chief secretaries and inspectors general of police attended it.

There are a number of hurdles to taking such a tough decision, he said during his third press conference in three days. He said conspiracies were being hatched to impose sanctions on Pakistan –  the only nuclear power in the Muslim world.
