Lahore Bar Association (LBA) on Friday announced joining the long march of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for the supremacy of law and constitution in the country.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, LBA President Rao Sami and Secretary Shakir Chahal flanked by Ammar Yasir and Sofi Attique addressed a press conference in Lahore on Friday.
The LBA office-bearers said that the Lahore Bar will participate in Imran Khan's long march as it has always worked for the supremacy of the constitution and rule of law.
LBA President Rao Sami urged the authorities that they should give a date for the election to PTI Chairman Imran Khan without any further delay.
He said the authorities must show a sign of courage to announce general elections. He said the LBA and the Insaf Lawyers’ Forum (ILF) have organized a joint camp and they will welcome Imran Khan warmly.
The LBA office-bearers said that asking for an election date from former premier Imran Khan is not an unconstitutional demand. They also announced participation in the long march.
