Pakistani worker abducted in Thailand; Kidnappers demand $50,000 ransom

A Pakistani citizen, Hamad Ur Rehman, who had gone to Thailand for work, has been kidnapped near the Burma border, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.
According to the family, the kidnappers have demanded a ransom of $50,000 for his release. Hamad is being held in an area where other Pakistani nationals are reportedly also being kept.
The kidnappers have instructed the family to contact them via Telegram. They have been subjecting Hamad to daily torture while continuing to demand the ransom.
Hamad's father revealed that he was abducted from the airport and urged the government to take swift action for his son's release. The family has already submitted an appeal to the Foreign Ministry.
