Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Syed Mohsin Naqvi has said that no one involved in the injection scandal will be spared, regardless of their influence or power.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, he talked to the media on Wednesday and assured them that he would deliver justice to the victims of the scandal.
CM Naqvi said the report of the inquiry into the injection scandal would be released soon.
He also updated the media on various development projects in Lahore, such as the Khalid Butt Chowk Underpass, the Ghoda Chowk, the Zafar Ali Plastic Road, the Shahdara Project and the Southern Loop 3 Project.
He said that these projects would be completed on time or ahead of schedule while maintaining quality and environmental standards.
He also said that the Punjab government and the Cantonment Board were working together to solve the problem of rainwater accumulation on Walton Road and that a drainage project worth Rs 8 billion would be completed in 120 days.
Earlier, CM Naqvi visited Government Girls Higher Secondary School Ravi Road and after observing several cases of conjunctivitis among the students announced a four-day closure of schools across the province.
The CM inspected the classrooms and interacted with the students, many of whom were suffering from eye infections. He expressed his concern and said that the closure of schools from Thursday to Sunday would help prevent the spread of the disease.
He also noticed the poor condition of the school's computer lab, which had outdated and non-functional systems, and the lack of adequate lighting and ventilation in the classrooms.
He summoned the Secretary of School Education and EDO Schools on the spot and ordered them to improve the facilities of government schools.
He praised the female students who participated in the competitions of reciting the Naat and awarded a prize to the winners girl Nayab Fatima and Sidra Muqadas.
