Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that if a special helicopter could be sent to Chitral to rescue Aleema Khan why not for the five brothers of Kohistan who were not saved despite their cries?
In an exclusive conversation with 24News on Monday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said former finance minister Shaukat Tareen was not expected to roar to this extent. “The finance ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa wrote letters to the IMF not to give loans to the Pakistan government which is tantamount to treason, he rued.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Tehreek-e-Insaf is trying to convince the IMF not to help despite the widespread floods in the country.
Pakistan's friendly countries will decide to help Islamabad after looking at the IMF rules, he added.
JUI chief further asked that we rescued 12 people trapped in the flood and if we can rescue the people, why cannot the KP government?
