Heavy rains: Schools in parts of Sindh to remain closed

Authorities have announced private and government schools will remain closed tomorrow (Thursday) to avert any untoward incident due to rain, in parts of Sindh.
The Hyderabad district administration has already declared a public holiday tomorrow and according to a notification issued by the deputy commissioner, all the educational institutions will remain closed on Thursday.
It has been raining intermittently for the past two days, grinding life to a standstill. Electricity supply has been suspended from 156 feeders in the Hesco region. The residents are urged to stay indoors to avert rain-related disasters.
The Karachi District Administration Central Karachi announced the holiday on the advice of the School Education and Literacy Department, according to a notification.
Similarly, the authorities have notified the closure of schools in Badin, Mitiari and other areas where rain wreaked havoc.
The Badin district has been receiving heavy rain since the last night. Most of the low-lying areas have been submerged. Electricity supply to these areas has been suspended and the downpour affected normal life.
The Sanghar district administration declared school closure for two days. educational institutions will remain closed on August 29 and 30, according to a notification issued by the deputy commissioner.
Also, educational institutes in the Mirpurkhas district will remain closed on Thursday and Friday and the DC issued a notification.
