Security plan for New Year night issued in Lahore; underage drivers to face music

Lahore Police Operations Wing Spokesperson Abid Khan said that the police force has made all the security preparations for the New Year night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Lahore DIG (Operations) Mustansar Feroze said awareness messages will be delivered through mosques that citizens should refrain from immoral and illegal acts while celebrating New Year night.
More than 5,000 police personnel and officers will be deployed in the metropolis to nab and arrest the people involved in violating law, hooliganism, creating ruckus and taking law and order in their hands.
The DIG Operations said citizens should show themselves civilized on New Year eve.
Abid Khan said that Division SPs will remain in the field under the supervision of SSP Operations Mustensar Feroz.

The spokesperson said that police will also nab those bikers who are without bike silencers. Lahore police vowed to even go after the mechanics who alter motorbikes that make one-wheeling quite easy.
Keeping in view the New Year night, SP Traffic Asif Siddique has issued a directive warning parents of the underage drivers that if they were arrested driving cars or motorbikes then the fathers of the underage drivers would have to deposit the bail bonds.
Drivers of below 18 years of age will be detained along with their vehicles and will put in the lock-up in the area traffic sector.
