Indian citizen arrested in Pakistan over social media love hunt

Police in Mong, Mandi Bahauddin, have arrested an Indian national, identified as Badal Singh, who had come to Pakistan to find the girl whom he had befriended on social media and was staying in the country without any legal documents, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to details, the police received information that an Indian national was living in the city illegally.
Soon after receiving the report, the police raided the house where Badal was residing and asked him to show the documents.
However, after his failure to do so, the police arrested him and shifted him to a police station for interrogation.
During questioning, the suspect revealed that he hailed from Nagla Khatkari district in Aligarh, India.
A first information report (FIR) was lodged against Singh under the Foreigners Act.
Later, he was presented in court, which sent him to jail on a 14-day judicial remand.
