MoU for ‘White Oil Pipeline’ project signed between stakeholders

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between stakeholders of Karachi to Peshawar ‘White Oil Pipeline’ project at Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) Secretariat Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The flagship project is spearheaded by Frontier Works Organization (FWO) while Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Interstate Gas System (ISGS) are its key stakeholders.
The 427 km long pipeline will pass through Machike (Sindh), Thalian (Punjab) and Tarujaba (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa).
The construction of this project will ensure smooth supply of oil and reduce the cost, which will save billions of rupees in the national exchequer.
The purpose of the White Oil Pipeline is to ensure the efficient supply of petroleum products, as well as to prevent adulteration and increase safety.
White oil is used in the manufacture of food besides other commercial products.
The pipeline project is a testament to the commitment of the Petroleum Division and the Special Investment Facility Council (SIFC).
