PTI leader and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday moved Islamabad High Court against his conviction in cipher case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. Qureshi’s counsel contended in the petition that it was the responsibility of the former foreign minister’s personal secretary and not of him to secure the cipher document.
Moreover, the counsel pleaded that Islamabad High Court had twice suspended the proceedings of the trial court due to loopholes in the proceedings.
The applicant pleaded the IHC that his conviction by the trial court should be declared null and void and he should be released on bail.
