Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz on Friday criticised the PTI government for blaming the opposition for its failures, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
“For how long will you keep shifting the onus of your own failures on past governments?” he questioned.
Speaking outside the Punjab Assembly, Hamza said the country’s growth rate had now plunged below zero due to excessive borrowing by the present government. “Today we are importing wheat and sugar from other countries,” he said, and added, “The country’s economy is in deep mire these days.”
Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly was of the view that the economic indicators as told by the government did not give a true picture of the country’s economy, and in order to gauge the state of the economy could be seen in markets.
