Army should not interfere in politics: Kaira 

PPP senior leader and adviser to prime minister Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that the army should not interfere in politics as it will not be acceptable, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Addressing a press conference in Gujrat on Sunday, he said that the institution is going neutral so we should help it. 

“If the institution was not neutral, Parvez Elahi would not have been able to get the vote of confidence,” he asserted.  

Qamar Zaman Kaira said the government has no role in the arrest of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry. “Fawad Chaudhry threatened Election Commission members and their families with serious consequences on different occasions.” 

Qamar Zaman Kaira said he condemned the law enforcement agencies for taking Fawad Chaudhry away with a cloth over his face.

He said that the federal cabinet and PMD leadership have been cleared that the government has taken a lot from the people, now they have no power to give anything more to the state. 

It is suggested that facilities should be provided to the common people by taking money from the rich of the country, Qamar Zaman added. 

PPP senior leader alleged that Imran Khan wants to maintain his popularity on assumptions. 

Qamar Zaman Kaira said that PDM is ready to negotiate with PTI on national issues. 

If the government had not implemented the agreement made by Imran Khan with the IMF, the country would have defaulted six months ago, Qamar Zaman Kaira concluded.
