Morning show anchor booked for torturing wife

Police in North Nazimabad locality of Karachi on Monday registered an FIR against the anchor of a private TV news channel’s morning show on the complaint of his wife, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the police, sections related to torture and hurling threats had been inserted in the case registered against Ashfaq Satti.
The Force informed that medical examination of the woman had been conducted at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
According to the FIR, the woman said that on January 22, Satti picked her up from her mother’s home, took her to his home where he tortured her in various ways.
The woman alleged that the police initially did not register the case, and even when it was finally registered, no action had been taken.
On the other hand, fearing police’s raid, morning show’s anchor has disappeared.
