Transgender Nayyab Ali thrashed in Islamabad

Transgender Nayyab Ali, a candidate from the two national assembly seats of Islamabad was thrashed by an unidentified assailant during her campaign in Islamabad, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
In an application filed in Ramna police station, Nayyab stated she along with her six trangender associates faced an attack by an unidentified man when they were canvassing in Sector G11 of Islamabad.
Nayab Ali is contesting from Islamabad's constituencies NA-46 and NA-47 as an independent candidate.
She is a human rights defender, transgender activist, and social scientist.
As an independent consultant, she has been associated with UN agencies to advocate transgender rights.
Fortunately, Nayab Ali and her associates remained unharmed during the attack.
However, swift action was taken by the police who apprehended the suspect at the scene.
Following the assault, Khawaja Sara Nayyab Ali promptly filed a complaint at the Ramna police station, urging authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly.
