Another case of baby-switching has been reported. This time it happened at a hospital in Faisalabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to reports, two babies, one girl and one boy, were in the nursery ward of Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital.
A father, Imran, requested the hospital administration to discharge his baby girl as she was not getting a proper medical attention in the hospital.
But the hospital staff mistakenly handed him over a baby boy who was born to the wife of one Usman.
When the Usman family was handed over the wrong baby girl instead of their baby boy, they raised a din.
When Imran was contacted, he said the baby was under treatment in the hospital’s children ward.
The hospital administration called the police who after making a legal inquiry handed over the babies to their rightful parents.
The hospital administration formed an inquiry committee which would look into the affair of baby-switching.
On Tuesday, a hospital staff in Lahore made a serious faux pas when it handed over two newborn babies, one of them dead, to the wrong mothers bearing the same first name.
