Court grants another 2-day physical remand for PTI spokesperson Raoof Hasan

The court handed over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Inssaf (PTI) spokesperson Raoof Hasan and others to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on a 2-day physical remand, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The decision was pronounced by duty judge Mureed Abbas. FIA requested an 8-day physical remand for Raoof Hasan.
Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) produced Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) spokesperson Raoof Hasan in court on completion of a 3-day physical remand.
FIA also produced PTI social media activist Syeda Arooba in court for physical remand. Syeda Arooba was arrested by the FIA yesterday.
A case was registered under the PICA Act against Raoof Hasan and others.

The FIA prosecutor submitted that all the workers are related to Azhar Mashwani and Raoof Hasan.
Afaq, Zeeshan Rashid, and Osama are all related to Raoof Hasan, while Arooba handles PTI's X account, and Arooba has not yet surrendered the accounts.
Ali Bukhari, the lawyer of the accused, submitted that the woman handles PTI's social media accounts as an employee.
Ali Bukhari Advocate said FIA arrested Arooba from the hostel, which is against the law, and FIA could have also given notice to Arooba.
If all the mobile phones are with them, then the accused should be released, if something comes up, the courts are there, and the Islamabad High Court has given a decision that the mobile phones and laptops should be returned, lawyer Ali Bukhari said in his arguments.
I will draw your attention to the FIR. The time and date of the FIR are incomprehensible, and the name of Arooba is not named in the FIR. She was arrested by the police, and the FIA and police have violated FIA rules as well as police rules, Ali Bukhari Advocate said.
Arooba is working, and it is wrong to send her to jail, and the link in the FIR is not legal, lawyer Ali Bukhari argued.
Raoof Hasan has been convicted once in a case of assault, has battled cancer, and is elderly, Ali Bukhari Advocate further argued.
Hasan and other arrested persons should be discharged from the case, Ali Bukhari Advocate requested the court.
FIA prosecutor submitted transcripts of anti-state videos have been placed in the records presented before the court, and forensics is also to be done.
The FIA prosecutor requested the court for another 8 days of physical remand, saying this is required for further recovery.

The allegations leveled against me in this case are baseless, Raoof Hasan said.
