On some occasions in our lives, small ideas can bring immense happiness. Engaging in activities that bring joy to others can provide us with a profound sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.
Advocate Danish Ahmed Soomro and his team exemplified this by organizing a delightful "mango festival" at the Sensory Garden in Women’s Prison, Hyderabad.
The dedicated team of the Committee for the Welfare of Prisoners (CWP), under the leadership of its senior regional coordinator Danish Soomro, exerted considerable effort to ensure the event's success.
The Sensory Garden was adorned with captivating decorations and featured special arrangements. Tables were adorned with baskets overflowing with various types of seasonal fruit, including the renowned Chaunsa, Sindhri, and Anwar Ratol mangoes, which were served to children, women, and the jail staff. To enhance the enjoyment, a singing competition was held, involving enthusiastic participation from all attendees.
The primary goal of the event was to provide a brief respite from the prisoners' sorrow and uplift their spirits at least for a few hours.
As esteemed guests at the occasion, Assistant Superintendent Sabica Soomro, Senior Medical Officer Irfana Makhdoom from the women's prison, and Syeda Qurat ul Ain from the Women Development Department graced the event, acknowledging the commendable efforts of the CWP team.
