In the joint parliamentary party meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Sunni Ittehad Council(SIC) on Friday, members expressed reservations about the performance of leaders Umar Ayub and Barrister Gohar in their presence.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the PTI and SIC's joint parliamentary meeting, which included candid discussions about internal disputes and differences, highlighted the dissatisfaction within the ranks.
The sources said the parliamentary members of the PTI and SIC openly discussed internal conflicts and differences and highlighted the poor performance of the leadership.
According to sources, members claimed that there were deliberate efforts to create discord between the members from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The members said, following Umar Ayub's resignation from the post, attempts were made to bring in a replacement from Punjab while disputes are reportedly being fueled by pitting Sher Afzal Marwat against Sheikh Waqas Akram.
The sources said some of the members suggested that Asad Qaiser should play a role in resolving the party's issues and conflicts by developing a new policy to eliminate internal hatred.
In the meeting, the sources said that it was also suggested that non-related individuals should be barred from attending parliamentary party meetings because the use of mobile phones and cameras during meetings leads to leaks of sensitive information.
Sources indicated that Barrister Gohar Ali, Umar Ayub, and Zartaj Gul agreed to work towards resolving these differences.
