FBR freezes Telenor’s accounts

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Tuesday frozen the accounts of Telenor over its failure to pay income tax amounting to Rs3.5 billion, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Informed sources said that the FBR decided to freeze the accounts of Telenor for collecting the unpaid taxes from the telecommunication company.
The sources also said that the company was issued several notices for the payment of the income tax but to no avail.
The court has also rejected the pleas of Telenor.
Notices will also be issued to the franchises of Telenor across the country.
