Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists Sanam Javed and Alia Hamza have been arrested in a new case of arson, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Friday.


According the details, 24News HD TV channel, both the PTI's detained activists have been arrested in the case of arson of Police Station Kamar Mishani in Mianwali district on May 9.


PTI lawyer have filed an application for summoning the party activists Sanam Javed and Alia Hamza from jail in the new arson case.


It is worth mentioning that Lahore's An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) duty judge Arshad Javed granted bail to Sanam Javed and Alia Hamza two days ago on Wednesday, March 27 in the attack on Shadman Police Station during the May 9 riots case.


Furthermore, yesterday, the robkar of them to release from jail were also issued but the authorities did not release them and arrested in new case of the Mianwali police station arson.


Interestingly, Sanam Javed is nominated by PTI for the Senate elections scheduled on April 02, 2024 and she is also included in the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) revised list of women candidates for Senate elections.


On the orders of Lahore High Court, name of jailed PTI leader Sanam Javed was included in the revised list. Earlier, her candidature was refused by the ECP.


There are two seats reserved for women candidates in Punjab and four women candidates have fielded their nomination papers for the elections.


The PTI has fielded Sanam Javed as woman candidate for elections. The PML-N issued party tickets to Anusha Rehman and Bushra Anjum Butt while the PPP has given ticket to Faiza Malik.
