Ireland beat Pakistan 3-1 in FIH Nations Cup in to end semis hopes

Pakistan's team lost to Ireland by 3-1 which ended their hopes to qualify for the semi-final in Nations Cup.
In their second pool A match here today, Pakistan fell apart against Irish team.
The first quarter of the match remained goalless with both teams failing to finish their chances strongly.
Abdullah Shahid helped Pakistan take a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute with a field goal. But, it wasn't too late for Ireland to score an equaliser thanks to Empey Conor.
Just a minute later to Pakistan's goal, Conor, with his brilliant field work, netted the ball to make the scoreboard read 1-1.
No further goal was scored in the second quarter with solid defence by both teams.
After scoring a goal each in third and fourth quarter, Ireland beat Pakistan to go on top of the points table with two victories.
Walker Benjamin and O'donoghue Shane scored a goal each for Ireland.
Pakistan will now play dead rubber game against France on December 1. Recently, Pakistan bagged bronze medal in Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Cup after 11 years.
