Jameel Somro declared a main accused of fake appointment of 15 women lecturers

The Department of Higher Education and Colleges (DHEC) Balochistan Thursday declared Jameel Somro, an employee of the Public Service Commission (PSC) as the main accused of issuing fake press releases of appointments of 15 women lecturers.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, a case has been registered against Jameel Soomro, Malaika Ameer, Bakht Ameer and Arifa on the basis of the investigation.
The sources said the Anti-corruption department also has widened the scope of investigation after registering a case and more arrests are expected in this case.
These fake appointments in the education department were made on the basis of a fake press release from the Balochistan Public Service Commission, sources revealed.
On the basis of a fake press release, the education department has issued a notification for the appointment of 15 women lecturers in March 2022, the sources said adding that these appointments were made for the subjects of Islamiat, Sociology, Commerce and Brahui.
The sources said that on the notice of the PSC, these appointments were proved to be fake in the investigation of the Education Department.
Later, the matter was handed over to the Anti-Corruption Department for legal action against the accused persons, sources said.
In the investigation of anti-corruption, it was revealed that only two women joined as lecturers on fake notification, sources said adding that till now 13 women lecturers have not joined.
The sources said Bakht Amir and Arafa were among those who joined with the support of Principal Girls College Chaman Malaika Amir.
During one year, the two women lecturers received a salary of Rs16,06,199 from the government treasury, sources said.
