State Life Insurance has warned that it may suspend the Sehat Sahulat Program at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital due to ongoing concerns about patient treatment and the quality of medicines provided under the scheme, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Friday.
The insurance provider has issued another letter to the PIMS management, emphasizing the urgency of addressing these issues.
In the letter, State Life Insurance highlighted that despite previous communications regarding the need for improved treatment standards and better-quality medicines, the PIMS management has yet to take any corrective action.
The letter criticized the hospital's failure to maintain these standards, stating that it undermines the very purpose of the Health Facilitation Program.
State Life Insurance has given PIMS management a deadline of September 10 to resolve the issues.
The letter warned that if the situation is not rectified by then, the insurance company will have no choice but to suspend the health services program at the hospital.
