Hackers steal ‘sensitive data’ of Pakistan Railways

The online system of the Ministry of Railways has been hacked where hackers have also stolen ‘sensitive’ data of the Railways, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Online booking has also stopped and the only people who are suffering a lot from the system breakdown are passengers.
According to railway officials sources, work is underway to restore the system.
It is yet to ascertain, who are the hackers and from which country they belong to.
As per the latest development, hackers have also stolen the data Railways employees and 70,000 employees’ data is missing now.
Subsequently, online booking of railways is closed and so far a loss of Rs 660 million has been incurred, sources claimed.
The online ticketing generates a daily income of Rs 50 million, the TV channel reported.
The system at the reservation offices is closed across the country, including Lahore, however, manual booking is being carried at the Multan Railway Station and other railway stations.
