Ahmed Jahangir takes over as new FIA director general

Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir on Tuesday took charge as Director General of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing the officers and officials, Ahmed Jahangir promised improvement in public service delivery by meeting the challenges of human trafficking and cybercrime in the country.
He warned the public that said strict action would be taken for sharing fake, religious hatred and other objectionable content on social media.
He vowed to improve partnership with international organizations to curb human trafficking. He directed the investigation officers and senior officers to focus on professional training.
He announced zero tolerance for financial corruption cases and warned that strict action would be taken against the corrupt officers and officials.
Earlier, on his arrival at the FIA headquarters in Islamabad, Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir was given an guard of honour.
He paid rich tribute to the martyrs and also laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir was earlier working as Additional Director General in cybercrime wing.
