Libya deports 14 more Pakistani illegal immigrants

As authorities in Libya continue to clampdown on migrants arriving in the country for their onward journey to Europe in search of greener pastures, 14 more Pakistanis staying in the country illegally have been deported, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to the Libyan officials, all of them were made to board Pakistan-bound flight at Benghazi airport.
On the other hand, Libya’s Directorate of Immigration has said that its officials have recovered 23 passports from an Egyptian human smuggler, and now they are trying to figure out as to which countries these Pakistanis had gone.
The Libyan government has tightened the noose around human smugglers and illegal immigrants following an incident of a boat capsizing in the Mediterranean off the coast of Greece a few months ago in which hundreds of people, mostly Pakistanis, had lost their lives,
Pakistani dies in gas cylinder blast in Libya
In a tragic incident, a Pakistani belonging to Sarai Alamgir in district Gujrat has died in Libya in a gas cylinder explosion.
34-year-old Jamal Afzal, father of three, had gone to Libya three months back to earn livelihood.
The news of his death cast a gloom on his family.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s embassy in Tripoli is in contact with the Libyan authorities for sending the corpse back to Sarai Alamgir.
