Malala Yousafzai, a girl's education advocate, and the world's youngest Nobel laureate has yet again demanded an ‘immediate and lasting’ ceasefire in Gaza, emphasizing the distressed situation and circumstances that the children in Gaza are enduring, also shedding light on the adverse impacts of these conditions on their mental and physical well-being.

The Pakistani activist, in separate posts on X, formerly Twitter, and Instagram, wrote: "It is unacceptable that children and families in Gaza are struggling to survive and facing these horrible conditions."

Malala also took to her Instagram handle and shared details about the collaboration between her organization, Malala Fund, and the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) through uploading some photos of volunteers interacting with children and working.

Detailing the pictures, the 26-year-old activist wrote: "Currently, more than 625,000 children in Gaza are unable to attend school, with no access to formal education.”

Malala added: "Particularly when they don’t have access to proper care. In October last year, alongside our call for a ceasefire, @malalafund supported Palestine Children’s Relief Fund @thepcrf’s incredible work, providing medical and humanitarian relief to children and their families. I’m sharing some updates from how our funds are helping young people in Gaza and throughout the region.

Through their Gaza Amputee Project, PCRF provides prosthetic limbs and rehabilitation so young people can reclaim their independence.

Their Medical and Orphan Sponsorships offer critical treatments and social, medical and educational support.

The Gaza Pediatric Mental Health Initiative provides essential services to help children overcome trauma inflicted by war, cancer and other extreme hardships.

When children need urgent, specialized medical treatment, PCRF’s Treatment Abroad programme evacuates them for lifesaving care, while the Medical Mission programme brings in doctors to perform transformative procedures at no cost.

PCRF’s emergency response initiatives bring essential aid, comfort and support to displaced communities in Gaza and beyond. I encourage you to learn more about @thepcrf by following their channels – and to leave a message of support for the brave humanitarian workers on the front lines.

Malal urged for ceasefire while writing: “It is unacceptable that children and families in Gaza are struggling to survive and facing these horrible conditions. Together, we must continue our call for an immediate and lasting ceasefire to end this needless violence and suffering.”
